So sorry about your friend, Dave. Healthcare especially in this country is frustrating at best.

Yes it is, but this one is a global epidemic. With this article, I have merely scratched the surface of the challenges, and there is some promising technology that could enhance at-home care. Hopefully, these companies will put people over profit.

Great post Raj. You've discussed issues that need serious consideration like the need to care and support the elderly while also ensuring that help from technology does not create additional challenges for them.

A very simple thing, but I’d set up all my mother’s gadgets to share her location and was able to monitor the battery levels on her multiple devices. Having more than one in the red zone was an indicator of a significant change in behaviour and I was able to call her GP who agreed to check in.
